Happy New Year WOYWWers!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Our house was struck down with Flu......the amount of boxes of tissues I have bought over the last 3 weeks....well...just don't go there. I hope the rest of you managed to stay lurgy free and have a fun time with loved ones.
Because of the lurgy I have been forced to declare today a Housework Day. (Sorry about the bad language!). The house is a tip, well perhaps not that bad to an onlooker, but to me it is bad and is starting to annoy me, but of course it isn't worth clearing up unless I have first taken down the deccies. To do it the other way would mean glitter and tinsel everywhere and having to clean twice....not going to happen, so I am in for a busy day.
Craft wise nothing much happened over the break, too busy tending the sick.
I did manage to do my Cousin's 60th card yesterday, (see last post), but still have our anniversary card to do. I was going to use papers and images from my Forever Friends Black and Gold CD...had the design in my head, but found that the CD works fine...until you come to print and then it doesn't want to know. After Googling I see lots of people have had this problem, and like me no one seems to be able to get an email response from Docrafts......here we go again...more hassle.
Here is my desk this morning....as you can see it really needs a tidy too....Julia...I even have uncleaned stamps, a first for me!
Hi to all new followers. If you are wondering what the heck is going on here, shoot on over to Stamping Ground, Julia's blog, where a group of us all share our workspace each week for a bit of fun and a nose around.

Oh dear a poorly house. Good luck with the housework today - not nice but you'll feel better when it's done! :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Christine...what an achievement, you will think, when it is done and it will make you feel good. Brushing all the nasty bugs away.

One more day fro our decorations Diane... we always leave them up until 12th night... my son-in-law had theirs down immediately after New Year I think!
ReplyDeleteI hope everybody is better now!
Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, our house was struck down by the flu too! glad you are better now though - enjoy the tidying up, that was supposed to be my job today but my sons school is closed so I am on here instead whilst babysitting him! No.28
ReplyDeleteArgh!!! Just saw the 1951 and then your mention of your cousins 60th - that means I must be 60 this year too!!! Arghhhhhhhhhh!
ReplyDeleteI was able to do some house work in my craft room and boy what a glorious feeling. Good luck and your desk looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteSorry you all got struck down by the lurgy, seems like there was a lot of it about. Sorry also that you have to do housework today! I'm thinking of just leaving me decorations up until the next one comes along! Much easier!!

Nicely done card. I am one who loves a clean house, but wish I could hire someone else to do the cleaning. Will the day ever come? Hope you are feeling better soon, soon. #95
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like that CD is as sick as the rest of the household! Hope things are better soon. And I really like that card on your desk. Hope the cleaning went well today and tomorrow all is much better. Happy WOYWW from #16 this week.
ReplyDeletesorry about the holiday lurgy - it's really unfair. Now see, your desk looks just fine to me - the in your face reminder of her age for your cousin, the dirty stamp - and see, you're still living and breathing!! Top left next to the glue dots - is that a whole roll of foil?!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the lurgy hit at Christmas, it certainly seems you were in fashion. I hope everyone is feeling much better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of your desk and I hope you manage to get your CD working. I was very tempted to get it myself, love Forever Friends, but after reading the comments on various forums about the problems it put me off!!

Hope all in your house is on the mend and no more sickness for the rest of the year.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just HATE when you pay good money for something and then it doesn't want to work? Especially when the people that sold it to you don't want to know.

Hope everyone's better now and you can get some more time for yourself to craft, Happy New Year
