Week 84 on the workdesk tour already!
If you have no idea what I am talking about, go to The Stamping Ground and check out Julia's blog and you get to be really nosey and look around loads of other work areas too.
As for my work desk this morning:-
Not a whole lot happening here really. Had a busy work day yesterday so not much crafting got started. I did receive my new copy of papercraft inspirations yesterday. There are some free templates inside. Being a lazy so and so I decided that I wouldn't be bothered to draw the templates out and cut them by hand every time I wanted to use them. So I created a cut file, just from the flower sheet at the moment, which means I can easily cut them whenever I want. I have to say though that I tried to make up the rolled flower/rose on the sheet, and didn't have much success. I curled it as described and then stuck the end, but I found that the petals wouldn't fold back without ripping. I think I may have rolled too tightly, so I will have to try again. Made me think of the cuttlebug quilling flowers actually. Does anyone have any of those? Are they any good? I wonder if you need to buy the long bug plates to use them, anyone know?
Enough questions for one day. Go see Julia's blog and enjoy a nose around.
Looks like a very creative desk even though you were busy yesterday. Hope you get more time to play today :)

Those look like fun templates. I don't do much with templates because I'm such a terrible cutter! TFS Sue #102
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the flowers when you work it out. If I get templates, I tend to put them on to the Silhouette, so that they can be cut out easily at will. It takes a while to get it set up, but it is well worth the time and trouble initially.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Maggie and I do the same thing with detailed stamps I want to cut out. I even wrote a tutorial about how to do it I was so impressed. I sounds like a lot of work but worth it as I too am a lazy so and so.
ReplyDeleteI am clueless...lol Thanks for the peek and sharing. Happy WOYWW, hugs Marjo #10

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a lot of fun things on your desk.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun templates! Maybe the paper you used was a little too thick. Try wetting the edges slightly to make them curl better.
ReplyDeleteHave a great WOYWW
