WOYWW 207

Firstly I apologise for my very long absence. But if you will have me I would like to come back to the fold, so to speak.

Well straight to it...here is my desk
I can't even remember if I have visited since I brought my craft desk downstairs? Doubt if any of you will remember either so no matter. What can we see....well I used to be teased for being too tidy, looks like that has changed a bit doesn't it?
Lets start bottom right. This is a card ready for Fathers Day for my Husbands dad. The image is a digi from Digistamp Boutique of two bear glasses. I have coloured with Promarkers and done the obligatory clear glaze to look like condensation on the glasses. The papers were from a very old scrapbook kit. There is a nice grungy type label that came off some new jeans that I couldn't throw away...I am sure it will be useful for something. in front of the keyboard my never ending Tesco vouchers for my online shops. In front of the keyboard are two images I have just decoupaged up ready for two male birthday cards I need to make soon. One is a vintage camera and the other an old fashioned gramophone thingy. To the left I have a card sent to me by Di Wray with a die I recently won from her, which turned into a sway eventually, but that's another story. To the left packaging from a delivery of embossing folders from Crafters Companion. I had an email code for 30% off and combined with an offer on the folders that was running, well I couldn't resist. Oh My Goodness. that is embarrassing!!!! I have just seen my bra!!!!!! sat on the table waiting to be repaired. Being a larger lady in that department IYNWIM, they often need attention. This one almost cut my throat the other day. I bent to empty the washing machine and a bone that had been sneeking up the middle got me....right in the throat!!!!I hadn't planned on sharing that with the world at large, I didn't notice it on my desk....but I must empty that bin!
Well that's me....share your desk to the world by joining in at The Stamping Ground for Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday

  4. Get you, downstairs and with two screens! Love that I can see the co-ordinating papers that you've used on your storage drawers and shelf/box. you are good to have the shredder at hand..means that you don't have to taks a whole chunk at a time. I should take a leaf from your book. As for bra...so used to that sort of thing that I certainly did not go into shock..same here. Indeed for a while, I got sosick of the wires garotting me that I started to hand wash them as I was convinced the weakening was because of the machine wash. It didn't last long! Now I have a n old pillowcase and do them in that - it has improved the breakage rate a bit.

  5. I love your confession about the bra. Really, I doubt anyone would have noticed what it was but thanks for the smile.
Welcome back to WOYWW, your card sounds lovely - beer glasses with condensation - perfection!
Hugs and thanks for visiting me - Neet 2 xx

  7. So neat! Love the idea of the glaze - I've used something called Diamond Dust on raindrops and tears, for example, but the glaze is perhaps less trouble.

    Happy WOYWW!

  11. Rofl at the bra in the pic! I doubt I'd have realised what it was if you hadn't told us :) Must agree that those bra wires do often have murderous tendencies. I blame myself for being lazy & putting them in the washing machine, instead of hand washing- lifes too short for that stuff! have a great week, hugs Shaz #125 xx
