WOYWW 95

A very Good Morning to you all....
Here is my desk today
Sorry it is a bit of a rubbish shot...way too dark but you see it was quite early when I took it, and of course as they have insisted on messing with the clocks again (which I still haven't adjusted too) my craftroom is dark for longer. Now if that isn't a reason for the powers that be to change the law...I don't know what is!
I am struggling to make 2 mothers day cards for the weekend. I have the main card cut and assembled. I have gone for a swirled heart swing card....which stupidly isn't in the picture (Doh! told you I wasn't with it). My problem is what to decorate it with...I am thinking hand made flowers..hence the variety of punches etc all over my desk. I think I will use a cutting file though as none of the punches seem to deliver just the right size for the project. I need to trawl though my files to find something to suit I think.
Anyway...that's me for today...not very inspiring really, sorry about that. To be more inspired by lots of other crafters nip to The Stamping Ground where Julia lets you into everyone else's home to have a nosey when they are not there...it's fun!
See you later then..

Quirky Crafts Challenge

It is challenge launch time again over on Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog. This time it is my turn to chose the challenge and I have gone for a twisted easel card. If you haven't tackled one before the best thing to do is to search on YouTube and you will see lots of videos showing you how to achieve this effect. I think that would be of more use to you than if I try to explain how to do it, don't be scared, they are easy...honest. For those followers who would rather make something other than a card I have chosen a Mothers Day Gift. We have two sponsors this week, Crafty Ribbons and the Stamping Boutique ( head over to the Quirky Blog to see details), so you could win one of two prizes with your entry.
As always the design team were given a choice of stamps to work with and I chose the Jennifer Bubble Latte stamp from the stamping boutique, mainly because I love the image and my Daughter is called Jennifer, so it kind of fitted.
Here is my easel card.......twisted and just for good measure twinned... Hope you like..

Come and see us all over at Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog and join in the fun....hope to see your entry soon!

WOYWW

Hello everyone....apologies for missing a week or two...been a bit busy. Anyway I have taken a photo of my desk to share today, but have had to be a bit careful with the angle.

I am not drunk....honest. The card in the photo booth is for the new challenge on Quirky Crafts which launches on Sunday.....so I can't show you yet. But here is a sneaky look...

The brown flowery box on the shelf is a new accordion storage box I made to shore cards I have made but not yet used. The card with the 3D flower is for my Mother in Law's birthday next week...that needs an insert doing yet.
To see more desks and have a nose around generally visit The Stamping Ground which is Julia's blog. Loads of us join in and you can be as nosy as you like without getting caught!

Quirky Crafts Challenge Time

The new challenge has been launched over at Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog.
This week it is Spyder's turn to choose a theme......and it is.......
a sketch.

Working from a sketch is not something I have done very often.....but we have been provided with some lovely digistamps from Stitchy Bear Stamps to work with so that made the job quite easy. This is what I came up with...

Come on over to the challenge blog and enter this week....you never know you might be chosen as the winner of some great digistamps.

Speedy Recovery

A lovely man, who I have known all my life is not too well at the moment. He is no relation, but I was bought up
knowing him as "Uncle". He has had to have a heart valve replaced is is very poorly at the moment. I wanted to send him something so he will know that me and my family are thinking of him and wishing him the very best.
This is what I came up with..
I am not sure if this quite qualifies as a simple card, as I have snuck in a bit of decoupage on the flowers....but as the theme for the Less Is More challenge this week is pastels I am hoping this will count.

WOYWW and Less Is More

Good Morning Campers!

Very quick post today as I have a huge pile of nasty looking A1 technical drawings to wade through today (proper work!)
This is my desk

I am trying (again) to organize my unmounted stamps into something where I can actually see what I have, and ideally be able to find the one I want to use....a lot to ask it seems!

Here is my entry for the Less Is More Challenge this week.....it is a slight cheat (sorry Chrissie/Mandi), in that I did the designing of this for my Son to assemble it as it was for his sisters birthday this week and he wanted to do it himself...hope that still counts?
Pop across to their challenge blog and join in the fun...also pop to Julia's blog to see lots of other workdesks and generally have a nose around....it's fun!
